Learning and Development

We believe our employees are our greatest asset. We invest heavily in their growth and development by providing many opportunities for our employees to enhance their technical skills, gain professional certifications, and explore potential future career interests. In fact, many of our leaders started their careers in entry level jobs with the City and County of San Francisco. As an employee of the SFPUC you will have access to the following:

The Learning Management System (LMS) is the central online resource for each employee to manage their own development through a large selection of eLearning and live training options. Our employees can keep track of their required learning, register for classes they’re interested in taking, or launch one of our thousands of online courses available to each of them at no cost. We put a strong emphasis on our eLearning content to enable our employees to take an active role in their own professional development whenever or wherever it is most convenient for them. These online courses have been used to pursue professional certifications in areas such as project management, human resources, and computer software programs.
